1976 Ibanez Professional Series Guitar Catalog

The Ibanez Professional Series was one of the first moves by Hoshino away from the strict copies of Gibson and Fender guitars. Subtle changes to headstocks, body inlays, and shape combined with stunning vined inlays on the guitar necks of many models to create the first of the "Golden Age" collectibles. The guitars featured in this catalog are among many Ibanez collectors' "Holy Grails".

Models include the Artwood Twin (model 2670) which was modelled on the guitar made for John McLaughlin, the "Randy Scruggs" Professional (model 2671), the "Bob Weir" Professional (model 2681), the Custom Agents (models 2675 and 2405) and the borderline scary Black Eagle Bass (model 2609B) later made famous by Crist Novacelic of Nirvana.
